Memo-gate (part 2)

As expected, the Democratic House Intel Committee 10-page Memo, in response to the Republican House Intel Committee 4-page memo, was so #FullOfSchiff, that it couldn’t be cleaned up enough to submit to the public.  It has now been sent back to the House Intel Committee for changes/edits.

The official quote from White House Counsel, Don McGahn, is:

“Although the president is inclined to declassify the February 5th Memorandum, because the Memorandum contains numerous properly classified and especially sensitive passages, he is unable to do so at this time.”

“However, given the public interest in transparency in these unprecedented circumstances, the President has directed that Justice Department personnel be available to give technical assistance to the Committee, should the Committee wish to revise the February 5th Memorandum to mitigate the risks identified by the Department.  The President encourages the Committee to undertake these efforts.  The Executive Branch stands ready to review any subsequent draft of the February 5th Memorandum for declassification at the earliest opportunity.”

Dep. AG Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray signed off on a letter accompanying the White House Counsel’s response, in which they highlighted all of the information that would jeopardize sources and methods, and also red-boxed information that jeopardizes National Security.

I’m going to repeat that last part, because it’s important.  The Democratic 10-page memo, was so #FullofSchiff, that Wray and Rosenstein had to do the Committees work for them, and highlighted info that would reveal sources and methods, AND red-boxed national security concerns.

As expected, and completely on cue, the Democrats are out in full force today, screaming and yelling that somehow this is a travesty to transparency.  Pundits are claiming Obstruction of Justice.  I will spare you their direct quotes… it’s too early in the morning for such utter nonsense.

No matter HOW the Democrats want to spin this, the message is clear: DO YOUR JOBS BETTER.

Luckily for us, we already have the Republican House Intel Cmte Memo (click here to view) and also the Senate Intel Cmte Memo (click here to view) to tell us what happened with the whole FISA court mess.  Hopefully we will get to see everything that went into the FISA application.  Hopefully we will get a statement from the FISA court explaining why he granted such a wide ranging intel-gathering warrant, based on a pile of lies.

Regardless, at the end of the day, people need to go to jail.  Not just demoted…. but JAIL.

UPDATE:  A few minutes ago, our fantastic POTUS just weighed in on the Democratic Memo:

Do we have the best President, or what?! 🇺🇸 #MAGA 🇺🇸
